Here at Last! Lamana FM & TDPress

Our Anthology title list is finished! After the death of the best pup in the world derailed our first kickstarter, A-lister Rey fucked off to Paris for the summer. Will he resurface? Who knows, but Lemana Filandra Muslic started as the Editorial Director of the rising Three Dragons Press and brought motivation and energy. This position is her DREAM JOB! So I can introduce you to my experience working with her on this, but FIRST let me introduce our AMAZING novel length anthology: Katie Marie — Brushstroke

Nathaniel Beardsley — Grandpa

Nikoline Kaiser — Eyes and Ears

Basile Lebret — Internet Friends

Rekha Valliappan — Dead End

Mary Jo Rabe — Clerical Calendars The broad range is incredible. Sylvia (myself), and the two Annes are all members of Strong Women Strange Worlds. Anne K is from Finland, Nikoline is a queer writer in Denmark. Roxane is a Bolivian German writer already celebrated as a leading LatinX voice! As Erick is also South American born. Mary and Chad are both from US farms, but Mary lives in Germany for 50 years or so. Jesmal, Richard, and Arvee represent three different south Asian/ Pacific cutures, more diversity from this region is in demand by readers. Our Editor reading meetings have been fun,. Lemana FM is tough, but fair. She and I didn't always see eye to eye, but I trusted the team to find me the HELL YES titles out of our pile of 80, and boy did they pull through for me. I admit openly that I had a conscious bias against the white American men, because I just felt flooded by them with submissions. I didn't even read this stack of submissions to remove any bias I might have. Lemana FM WANTED to call and talk to writers with feedback so she could get practice, which clearly paid off in her offer pitches on novels. She had BOTH of her first two offers to acquire ACCEPTED! The result of her gaining confidence in her editorial voice has been amazing.

She and Nathaniel picked Chad's story hands down, and I was happy to be proven wrong, that the Texas farm boy had a stronger story than the many interesting voices I was considering from around the world. On the other hand, when she gave Basile's story a second read she agreed with me withut a doubt. She LOVES this collection of stories, and I think you will see why! The focus on strength of writing was the priority, which meant some of my favorites didn't make the cut, but I am very happy with the result as a very strong book readers will love. I also want to give my insight for writers who want to submit novels to her at Three Dragons. She doesn't have a social media presence. Check their submissions and send your story if it's creative. She is very picky about themes she has seen before and consider them borderline plagerism. Writing is ultimately where she makes her decision, as well as structural bones of the story. If your plot works, if your characters are three dimensional and complex, thats what she cares about, whether or not the first or last chapter is perfect. She has an allergy to dystopian or other things she thinks have been overdone.

I actually suggested our disabled consultant Katie Marie be the new editor, but she's happy in her career. But she is the one who has heped drive the accessibiity in the acquisitions process, starting with the submissions form and different file types needed by disabes writers. Message me if you have questions about Lemana or sending her your story, and I'll do my best to help.
