Welcome. Thank you for wanting to go on a journey with me.
If you asked me what inspires me, you could look through a long list of works of literature which I have read. However, I think the stories of the women in my family, and my story which is constantly evolving, are my inspiration. I try to channel my grandmother who was the widow of an aerospace pioneer with a three year old son, or my German namesake who crossed an ocean to marry and abusive doctor, then run away with the butcher. Perhaps my aunt who was an executive in Manhattan in the 80s and connected with people whose careers were ruined by Rupert Murdoch's downfall, from which he remained unscathed.
It is the vast sprawl of my cousins across the world and the viewpoints they bring to me, the story of my own German family. The story of my Scottish ancestors and genocide. So many stories reside in the halls of my past, present and future, as well as stories which ring true across millennia or true of people no matter their culture or background, the core things in life we all value.
Some of you may know I have a previous project which needs finishing, but my current project is wonderful and powerful, and I hope to continue and have support to turn it into something which will speak to readers everywhere.
